I slept horribly last night, due to hip pain on both sides that would not let me sleep for more than 45 minutes in a row. Entirely due to it being that time of the month. Ah well. I gave up around eight-something and just got up.

Yesterday was awesome, though. The Mummy viewing went spectacularly, and by the end of the evening I had a killer headache from laughing too much. Best way to get a headache, btw. It was so heartwarming to see friends and I enjoyed it thoroughly. Dinner was wonderful and the MST3K of the Mummy was hilarious. Many geek references were made and I hope that we can get together again soon, because this was very restoring on so many levels.

One of my friends brought her fiancée, whom I have never met, but who was definitely my kind of person; he had a tattoo of the Rankin-Bass Bilbo on his arm. Awesome. The only detriment to the evening was the lack of chairs, as I don't have enough comfy seating in my living room. Some day I really need to fix that. Furniture is so expensive, though. :( Thank goodness I have lots of pillows. Friend's son has shot up to over six feet tall, and it was quite amazing to see him again. He's becoming an adult! Shocking how that happens. He was adorable, though, and held the squid through the movie because "the squid wants to watch, too."

All in all, it was a reminder of what I miss out, being a hermit so much.

It's awesome. There were also words in Elven but I forgot to ask what they meant. Next time!

It was BIG, too. :)

HEEEEEE.

It's so funny--I went 30 years without ever knowing anyone else who loved that film, and now they seem to be coming out of the woodwork.

I know, I was so surprised!!

I had to tell him all about how it was quite literally the soundtrack of my childhood, lol, and how I know the movie by heart and can sing the songs...I probably sounded quite deranged!

I hope the owies are feeling better today. :-(

And happy for a very fun day you had yesterday! Sounds like quite a tattoo. We have the same "lack of chair-ities" in our home if more than 10 people try to sit together. I also use pillows and finally replaced a coffee table with an ottoman for additional seating.

Children grow so fast - isn't it amazing how quickly they change when we, of course, do not change or age at all? :-)

I really do need to get something new in the room. I have two Queen Anne chairs that are not comfy, and I'd like to have a couple soft, big chairs, though I don't know if I'll have enough room or not for those. I really need to see if I can redo the arrangement.

And yes, it is quite a shocker when kids grow--I hadn't seen him in two years and he shot up so much and his voice changed so much! wow. :)

Check out Overstock.com. When I had no money left in my budget for finishing off my kitchen remodel, I got a bunch reasonably priced furniture from there and no lie, shipping is really $2.95. Even for the dining room table I got that weighs about 4000 pounds.

Aw, thanks! I'm definitely hoping for that. I'm tired. :( Fortunately, tomorrow is a day at home, so I can sleep in if I need to.
