Yes, I have finally gotten around to putting up more pond pics! Here's the first set of snow pics (lol, now that the Spring is nearly here).

12-7-10 First snow that stuck, I believe.

12-8-10 Clouds!

12-12-10 This was a day of Much Snow. It just kept falling and falling. I can't remember how much accumulated, offhand. This was not one of the Snowmaggedon days. I took pictures every hour or so.

The hawthorn tree is quite blanketed here.

I have no idea why I took this pic through the window instead of with the window open as usual. Maybe to show how much snow was on the window? Weird. That's what I get for doing this months after the pics were taken.

So lovely! The cold of the snow bleeds through the photographs, like being there. I love the little bird baths and I would so love being in the swing on a warm spring afternoon - watching the water and swaying back and forth. Do water fowl come to enjoy your pond? Please take photos through the seasons to share...where I live, open spaces like this are rare - seeing them and seeing yours is fun and a treat!

Great work!

It's such a wonderful pond--it looks deceptively simple, barely rippling most of the time, but there's a lot of life there! The first year we lived here, we had a group of Canadian geese, sadly--they really despoil things. :(

Last year, though, we were completely lucky and had almost no geese at all! No ducks, either, though. The only thing we had regularly was a little Green Heron. Occasionally we get common egrets and blue herons. There are some wonderful turtles, particularly a large Blanding's turtle, and there are tons and tons and tons of frogs and tadpoles.

Check out my pond pics (http://valis2.livejournal.com/tag/pond%20pics) tag and you'll see about a year and a half's worth of photos through the seasons. I've been really behind on sharing and I have a whole backlog--usually I post these every couple weeks.

Very pretty! I actually enjoyed these, despite the fact that I've had more than enough snow for one winter. :)

I love snow on trees. It all looks so neat and tidy. I wish I could have my garden like that all year round. Minus the cold of course! :-)

Pondpics!
Though I am really relieved this year that spring is finally coming. (On the other hand I wanted to go skiing this winter sooo badly....)

Wow, pretty but brrrrr! All that ice in the pond makes it look that much colder somehow.

:) Glad you like the pics!

"Snowmaggedon" LOL!

There is such a difference between snow just on the ground, and snow *everywhere*. It looks so much colder! Brrr...

Now you must hurry and post the snow pics quickly so you can catch up to Spring! ;-)

I have such a backlog of pics! Thank goodness I missed a month, lol, because otherwise I would be snowing you all with so much snow...hee!

It really has been a snowy winter. Our pond is noticeably higher (we've had a couple near-thaws)!
