I also posted nothing for the first few months. It was good that I spent so much time reading other journals because it helped prepare me for the interaction.
I missed mctabby's FF completely! By the time I got home from my trip it had all petered out, and my entry was one of three thousand or something like that, so no one friended me from it, and I was too daunted to try to find anyone through it. Besides, my flist was already getting to be a bit large.
I'm thinking about dewatching some communities, but I don't know...it's just become so time-consuming, but I would hate to miss out on something.
The one that's really making me sad is fanficrants. I like to read the HP rants, but not the four million Inuyasha/FMA rants. There was a light in the tunnel at one point because someone made an all-HP rant community, but it petered out, so I keep following ffrants. Oh well.
I keep thinking about dewatching this photo community, but then again the photos are such nice markers in the friends list, I can remember where I left off because of them...
I'm always interested in the ration of friends/friends of. Most people have a larger friends of than friends, it seems, except for some people who have really made a splash in fandom with their writing/art/opinions, it seems.
