Thinking about the new Harry Potter movie...

Just hoping that it isn't some sort of crazy, over-the-top debacle. Don't get me wrong, I want to see it tremendously, but I can't help but worry at the liberties taken with the story...

I keep thinking that the movie has to condense so much information that the plotlines that are left are the essential ones, which really makes me think that Ron & Hermione are meant to be together, considering the little moments where they are embarassed around each other. Just ruminations, who knows...but I really wonder where this all is going. I've heard good things about the director...hopefully when I see it tomorrow I will jump for joy. As long as they put more Snape in, I'll be all set.

Your worries may be well founded. Frank-le didn't much care for it. I liked the score a lot--I'm sure you'll know why once you've heard it.

Several things to comment on this....now that Ive seen it.(hopefully containing no spoilage)

1. Not enough Snape.
2. What is UP with that Whomping Willow?
3. We did not see enough of the Potions Professor.
4. Rather like the new Dumbledore.
5. David Thewlis tends to grow on you. Its downright unnerving.
6. EYE-gor? Is that YOU?
7. MANY things were left unsaid.
8. Snape did not appear as often as I would have liked.
9. STOP TEASING ME BY MENTIONING LUCIUS MALFOY AND NOT SHOWING HIM! STOP IT I SAY!
10. I may have touched on this before: Not enough Snape.

BTW, I'm loving the Blog so far.... c'mon, ya grrrreat gallopin git, type more!
