Lumos happiness

Just got the new Lumos newsletter.

I just want to say that I am so delighted that I did not procrastinate for once. Not only did I register early, I booked a hotel room early, and this makes me more ecstatic than I can say.

According to the newsletter, the waiting list for registering for Lumos (already sold out, btw, for a few weeks at least) is several hundred names long. And they're on their third hotel. Wow.

ETA: bwahaha! There is even a lumos group called bpal_lumos. I should have known.

I registered for Lumos as soon as I got home from The Witching Hour, but I never thought Lumos would sell out as fast as it did. TWH didn't come close to selling out, so I think a lot of people figured they could wait awhile before registering.

That spurred me to register early and made my hotel reservation for Phoenix Rising, which is in New Orleans--in May 2007. I figure I have time to find roommates by then...[laughs]

Phoenix Rising? Hmm...sounds interesting, but May is a terrible month for me. Very very busy.

ROFL! I think you should complain and try to change your reservation to the same one the BPAL people are at. Think of the entries you could entertain us with!

That would be hilarious, wouldn't it?

Only problem is, I have a terrible sense of smell. They'd be running around, holding their inner wrist up, shouting, "Wow! This is fabulous!" and I'd be completely clueless.

I *love* that icon. Awesome.
