Okay, I'm back for just a few minutes...off to the eye doctor next for a new pair of glasses.

So I haven't been to a dentist in fifteen years. No, seriously. Today was my first visit, because I was having some low grade pain across a few of my upper front teeth, and I was certain that I had a cavity there left over from fifteen years ago that I never had filled.

Well, I must have had it filled, because there isn't anything wrong there.

In fact, I have NO CAVITIES AT ALL. They think the difficulty with my front teeth is due to a bite issue.

I am absolutely flabbergasted.

They did a cleaning, and the hygienist said that it wasn't bad at all. The only problem was that my fillings are old, and they're starting to show it. A piece of one had broken off at the edge, so they fixed that, filed my teeth a little to fix my bite, and that was that.

$500 later I'm home and so relieved. You can't even imagine. I've been lying awake at night and worrying about this for YEARS.

I could cry, I'm so happy. Oh, but I can't, I'm about to get my vision tested. Heh.

Phew! Glad all is well! But $500??!! For one visit with hardly any repair work? I think I'd only go once every 15 years too if that was the price!

Heh...yeah, that was a tough bit to swallow! But it's worth it, definitely. I'm certain the cleaning was a rough go, even though she assured me it wasn't nearly as bad as it could have been.

It really was a big scary thing. I'm so tremendously glad it's over, and I'm back home with nothing more than a bit of pain and a sore jaw. I really wish I had gone years ago.

Yes, it went well. My left eye's vision has deteriorated, which is exactly what I expected, so new prescription.
