Okay, update.
Did a show in MN with the ever-amusing ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
barda...had lots of fun...ate sushi...and saw the funniest sign I've ever seen at a vendor's booth. It proudly declared "A bargain you will never get!!" I assume that they meant to say a better bargain you will never get but obviously something got omitted. I laughed so hard I nearly cried. There was a wedding at the hotel where we were doing the show and I saw a vendor stealing wedding cake from it, and I also witnessed a drunk man in his fifties addressing a six feet tall statue of an American Indian with "Hi, chief!" and insisting that his companions do the same.
On my drives I encountered a few unusual things. A truck hauling an enormous satellite dish...like Contact-size. A semi hauling "Live Fish". And...I am not making this up,bob_the_mighty, I saw a van bearing the logo "Chicken Man". I was afraid to get too close, in case he started flinging radioactive eggs. This was all in Chicago, of course, where the crazies drive. (No offense, deepforestowl.)
I was pleasantly surprised by the drive from WI to MN...it should be nicknamed the Stepford Freeway. Everyone driving exactly the same speed and in the right lane, no less. No one going ninety and tailgating. It was wonderful, until the ride back, where I encountered an agressive drunk who nearly sideswiped me and then later nearly rearended me. I ended up calling highway patrol. I hope they caught them.
Still disappointed about the shoes and the sickness...thank you for your kind thoughts. The shoes are going back, and I'm just going to try to wing it with a couple pairs of sandals and little tennies. I have no choice, really, I leave Monday.
I really hope I feel better ASAP. I have to set up a show tomorrow, and it is a big exhausting setup. I feel absolutely awful. Dizzy, draining, slightly nauseous, worn out. Sinus infections usually take a couple weeks to clear up, and I don't want to get to Aust and just be a big slug on a couch. :(
And I have so, so so much still to take care of before I go, and now I'm wasting all this time being sick. *sigh*
I got a LION PATRONUS---on my first try!!!!!!!! Super yay! (If you haven't guessed, I'm a little obsessed with lions.) I would like to mention that I would make the worst Barkeep ever, especially considering that I am in no way related to Albus Dumbledore.
Had a dream about Sarah and Severus! My first ever Severus dream. They were in a very old-fashioned looking store, all done in this murky olive green color with gold accents. They were in the back of the shop, at some giant conference table that also looked very old-fashioned. Severus was gathering up courage to do something to her to prevent her from doing something dangerous, and she in turn shouted "Expelliarmus!" and knocked him across the room, and then expressed her cold displeasure, and then I woke up.
Now that I think about it, this actually could be fit in perfectly with a bit coming up in the future. Interesting.

switchknife's journal, but couldn't get the flow going, and just gave up.
Anyway, enough of this long entry. I need to finish a chapter of tLS and eat some canary melon. Yum!
