Replied to [livejournal.com profile] bob_the_mighty, so now I am required by (peer pressure) law to make this entry:

"If you and I were alone in a room right now, what would we be doing?"

How did you know that?!! Oh, wait, er...I meant to say, I have no idea what you are talking about. At all. Ever. Yeah. That's it.

Yelling at you to get the fuck out of the car.

But maybe there's a car in the room. Yeah, that's the ticket.

In real life? Probably slow-starting but increasingly more comfortable gabbing about work, the weather, life, fanfic, movies, travel, the Walshes, the swirly print shirt you bought, and the exact color of the blue you're wearing and how it's really more like a steel than a slate blue and wouldn't it look great with moonstones?

In my fantasy of the day (TM)? Highly witty and snarky conversation about the above, sitting on the floor of the living room with bottle of wine and plate of cheese and crackers, before moving on to figure out how Things Will Be Different When We Are The Supreme Beings Of The Universe. Preferably having the conversation with George and an obliging cat present for part of it. Conversation will become more maudlin as it grows later and the sexual/emotional tension in the room will stay at nicely heightened level that never actually goes above dangerous but prompts the sort of "filters off" conversation that makes a night worth remembering.

Is it sad that conversation is the height of my fantasy right now? Can you say "a wee bit lonely lately"?

For about a minute I was attempting to decode what "an obliging cat present" could be. Hairball? Toy? Then I realized you did not mean it in the sense of "gift". I am so out of it.

Your fantasy sounds delightful. I would love to sort out how "Things Will Be Different When We Are The Supreme Beings Of The Universe". Or even how "Things Will Be Different When We Are Paying Bills On Time".

Hey, conversation can be a really great fantasy. Conversation is something elusive, a meeting of two minds, decoded through cultural similarities and nonverbal cues...nothing wrong with liking it!
