Y'know, I really like B&H Photo...
...but their catalogs often make me giggle.
They release electronic "newsletters" every so often which contain lots of information about their latest products, and informative articles about the industry. Today's has an article about virtual instruments, in which they describe a particular instrument:
Opening the case of any acoustic piano will reveal an iron frame usually made of iron with different length strings suspended across its center.
An iron frame--that's usually made of iron? You don't say.

Copy in B&H Newsletter
(Anonymous) 2007-09-19 06:33 pm (UTC)(link)I'm the Senior Copy Editor at B&H, and I am responsible for the quality of the content of these newsletters. When that copy left my hands, it was worded differently from the quote above.
Originally, it read: "Opening the case of any piano will reveal an iron frame, usually, with different-length strings stretched across it." We're sorry for the redundancy, but pleased we were able to entertain you.

You must have terrific Google-fu.
PS: I really enjoyed the article (despite my pointing and giggling). It was intriguing!
