Argh!

Damnit.

I just bought tickets to the Three Days Grace (yes, the lack of apostrophe bothers me)/Breaking Benjamin concert at the Palace.

I clicked "Best Available" for seating.

I was on the site within a minute of the tickets being released.

The tickets were marked "FL4," which I really didn't understand. I still don't. They are supposed to have a seating chart (because they configure it differently for each event) but the seating chart for TDG/BB is missing.

My sister is going with me, and she said they were floor tickets, and we'd have to stand.

So now I've purchased tickets at Club Level, too.

Now I find out they usually put folding chairs out. So I have two sets of tickets, I guess. *headdesk*

(I think this is okay, actually, because we can switch seats if we'd like--the floor can get rowdy, I hear. But still--wah!)

(Also, I wish I would have done Club seats first (instead of an hour later), so I could have gotten great Club seats!! Argh!)

Yes, I hate the term "Best Available" because my idea of Best is first row of the Mezzanine (or second tier) and TicketMaster's idea of BEST is up against the rail gettin' gang-banged...I'm too old for that shit!!

Still, when you are purchasing tickets for an event that could sell out fast, you take "Best Available" becuase it is the fastest and have to settle for what you get...or sell them on EBay...

Same here--I don't want to be on the floor, I wanted to be in a nice comfy seat--and if I had known this beforehand, I could have had GREAT seats. Damnit!

Can you sell them on eBay? I wasn't aware of that...

[identity profile] tjwritter.livejournal.com 2008-01-12 05:12 pm (UTC)(link)
I think the rule is (so it's not considered scalping) is that you can't sell them for a certain amount over what you paid for them. I'm not sure the precentages, but to be safe, I wouldn't sell them for more then you paid for them.

I've seen tix on Ebay...do a search, see how they do it...you know Ebay way better then I...

*hugs* That's tough! Maybe you could find an LJ community for the bands and sell the ones you don't want? I've done that before. Or ebay works, too. Are they electronic tickets or paper tickets?

Electronic tickets, wah!

I'll figure something out. :) Thanks for the hugs!

Electronic is easier to resell, IMHO, because you can complete the transaction fairly quickly. They paypal, you email the tickets. Once I bought a paper ticket from a friend and she ended up canceling and I still had to drive all the way out to her place to pick it up. Sigh!

I'm sure you'll figure something out, yeah!

You know, you can sell those tickets. There are services that buy them, or if the tickets are popular enough, you can put an ad on Craigs List or in the paper.

Very true--but I'm leaving on Thursday, and I just don't have my mind ready for that stuff, I'd say. I'm still pretty scattered right now.

Oh you so lucky! My friend here in two won two tickets to that concert yesterday for the Z93 win 'em before you can buy 'em radio edition. I want to go, but can't justify the price, nor the babysitter cost and gas prices for driving 3 hours down to the Palace. Still, they were awesome last time I saw them in concert, so you'll have fun.

[identity profile] valis2.livejournal.com 2008-01-13 12:17 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, you've seen them?!! Awesome!

(PS: Do you want the floor seats?)

[identity profile] celisnebula.livejournal.com 2008-01-13 12:18 am (UTC)(link)
I wish I could say yes, but I can't :o(

They won't let you return them? Craig's List could be a good option.

[identity profile] valis2.livejournal.com 2008-01-13 12:20 am (UTC)(link)
I haven't tried returning them yet. I thought that if you wanted them, that would be a quick fix.

Which band did you see before--BB or TDG?

Three Days Grace when they were in town with Seether - they had a small private unplugged show here about... 2 summers ago I think it was.
