Is my writing mojo back?

Hmm. I just wrote another story between last night and today for the Riptide fandom and posted it.

It's been ages since I did any writing, and what I always forget is that once the words start flowing, it just takes over.

I mean, I just sat and wrote 5600 words. When I'm away from writing, I feel like it's insurmountable, but when I sit down and write, I remember that even though it's hard, it's easy, too.

I hope I can keep this up. TLS has been eating my brain for three months straight and I'd like to get it on a page.

*hugs [livejournal.com profile] tinx_r for being so much inspiration*

A certain beta would like to see it on a page. Or a screen. Or many squares of toilet paper. Whatever.

Hurray for mojo!

I must admit, seeing that you are back online is also a big incentive... *giant hugs*

yay for mojo! can i have some?

[identity profile] valis2.livejournal.com 2008-10-09 09:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Believe me, if I could bottle it, I'd send it out to everybody. And hopefully they'd return the favor as well. :(

maybe i can read yr story, and the mojo will seep through my router and into my keyboard and get all over my hands?

It's here (http://community.livejournal.com/pier56/29173.html), but I'm not certain if it's mojo that will seep through. It might be cheese. Consider yourself forewarned! lol

It's definitely mojo! The lodestone quote? Mojo!

Aw, you're so sweet! Thank you so much!! *hugs*

Hopefully I can sustain a little of that mojo...

I hope you can keep this up too!

How much inspiration would you like me to be? Also, I have just been having a discussion with [livejournal.com profile] oddmonster about my current WIP, the one that's holding up your story in fact, and guess what? It's just got a huge injection of h/c! (You'll be disappointed to hear that, I know...)

LOVES!

hee!! Unfortunately, with moving and all, I probably won't be able to do anything but a drabble or two. Still, I will keep the mental gears going...

OMG WANT NOW!!!!!!!! NOWNOWNOW!!

*diez*

Y'know what's funny? Normally, I'm very picky about the recipient of the h/c, but the two of them are so delicious, I can't decide which one I like better in the h/c role...they both have something delicious to bring to the table.

I'm hopeless, yes, I know.

Yeah, moving has seriously slowed down my writing. Le sigh. And yeah, keep on oiling those mental gears!

Somehow I thought the injection of h/c into this fic would win your approval *vbg*

I hope it'll be done by the end of the weekend?

And yes, Nick/Cody are delightfully versatile (in many mnay wyas... *lick*)

*HUGS*

I have read some of the worst fics in the world simply to get a bit of h/c...hee! I need my fix!

Oh yes, I'm really catching on to that...hee!

I am so envious. It's been ages since I wrote, too, but I've never figured out how to get the story to take over. The ideas, yes. But the words have to be pulled out of my brain one by one by one and it's always a struggle. Worth it in the end, but a struggle.

I always feel like that when I'm away, too. But as far as hard-but-easy, I only feel that way when I finish something I'm satisfied with.

Write, write! If you can sit down and let the story take over, hell, set aside regular time for it if you can manage amongst the hectic craziness that is average real life.

If I can slip into the zone, and if I have a framework ahead of time, I can generally write it. Except dialogue, which has its own unique difficulties (as you no doubt know already).

It's just that I make so many damned roadblocks first! "I can't try, the framework isn't ready, I don't know what happens next, I want to read more A*Team fanfic..."

Yes, I am in total agreement with you. Right now I'm trying not to feel guilty about having spent most of yesterday on that story...
