grah!
When the eBay business picks up, the crazy picks up, too, as well as the annoying.
I had a customer contact me about a particular item. She's in Germany, and I don't advertise that I do any international business, and yet she bid on something out of my store. Aggravating, but oh well. I explained my international pricing to her and she mentioned she wanted more of that item.
I explained that I had only one more in stock and that I would get more in December. After a few more emails, she said she wanted the other one I had in stock as well, and that she'd pay for both of them now and I could ship them out now, and then in December we'd email again so she could purchase more.
I usually would send a Paypal invoice, but for some reason I decided to just relist the item and send her the item # so she would be buying them both through eBay. I sent her a message with the item number of the relisted item. I hate sending eBay links because they're usually long and I'm not always certain that they work.
She sent me a message saying that she had bid on them both and would like a combined invoice. I take a look as I'm setting up the invoice, and...grah. Just grah.
She's bid on a similar but different item. Say, for example, you have a toy robot with six arms. Well, she bid on the toy robot with two arms, and a different head entirely. Yeah. Great. So now I'll have to substitute the one she wanted and go modify the other listing. grah.
