[gets crazed, nutjob-messianic look on her face]
'Tis a sign! A great portent! An omen!
[pauses]
Can't imagine of what though.

There's a really lame and boring opera by that name as well, though of course it's based on the Philip K. Dick novel. ;)

There is Unity in the world, an Overall Plan & Direction.
And, as I've come to believe, it's based on
SQUID!
Credo in unum calamari, factorem coeli et terra et mares, non?

It's a bastardization of the beginning of Nicean Creed, commonly sung in the old Latin Masses:
Credo in unum deum (I believe in one God)
Factorem coeli & terra (Maker of the Heavens & Earth)
Marem, probably with the wrong ending, is my lazy addition of "seas" -- which I should look up in my Latin dictionary, but didn't.
So my purpose on lj is to spout inaccurate Latin parodies. I've often wondered.

You have a purpose? I'm jealous.

And I guard any purpose given to me (how could I internally generate one?) with the greatest ferocity.
