Another bizarre dream

I was playing a pinball game (I actually am a bit of a pinball fanatic in RL) called Thor Is Bored. The Marvel incarnation, to be specific. On the backboard Thor was pictured looking very bored indeed, slumped over a table, leaning his head on his hand glumly.

I started the game up, and pressing the button did an automatic launch, with no plunger, and I was a little disconcerted that the opening foray wasn't even a skill shot, but merely a set of random pachinko maneuvers. Finally I get the ball in play, and I realize that the person who owns the game has set the flippers as far apart as possible and set the drains to their maximum width as well, which makes gameplay shorter. In fact, the flippers were so far apart that there was no way that I could keep a game up for very long.

Thor was watching me very glumly. He became a little interested towards the end and sat up a little straighter, but then, when I lost the third ball, he slammed his tankard of ale down on the table and went back to his defeated slump.

I love pinball. For serious.

And if the owner of a machine set it up like that I would be pissed!!!

They do it all the time, honestly. They don't have it cleaned regularly, either, so there is more drag on the ball. Only places with fanatical pinballers (like Silverball, which no longer exists) really cared enough to take care of that and have fair play.

That's a very interesting dream. Wonder if your subconscious mind is trying to tell you something...?

That even when I'm playing pinball I'm not in control...and I bore everyone? ;)

Boring, you?!? Pfft, Thor doesn't know what he's missing. :D

I spent many, many quarters on the Addams Family. Enough to sublet Thing's box, at the very least. ;)

Thor Is Bored
Hee!
Oh, Valis, this reminded me to tell you that you made a guest appearance in my dreams the other week! This was extraordinary because 1. I have no idea what you look like and have never met you (but in the dream you had dark hair and Gothic fashion sense) and 2. I very rarely dream and will go for months and years without having any. I don't remember much of the dream except my youngling cat was trying to run across the street. I kept calling her to come back and she just ignored me.

How funny!

I've dreamt of a few LJers...LJers I've never even met! Amusing, huh?

I must say, though, that I have no Gothic fashion sense. In fact, I have very little fashion sense at all, as a rule. Though lately I've been trying to change that. hee!

I've always liked playing pinball. :)

Thor was looking bored while slumped over a table? Possibly because he didn't have a companion behind with him?

*slaps self for being naughty*

hee! I guess the pinball action just wasn't enough for him. We'll have to send Loki to him.

Sorry it took so long to reply. :(

Whoa. What an interesting concept. Thor/Loki...
