Back

The show was...not good. Really not good. I was a little frustrated, but then it turns out that all of the vendors I spoke to were extremely frustrated with the lack of sales, so I don't feel so bad now.

I had a few really crazy dreams last night. I dreamt that [livejournal.com profile] bleed_the_day and I were walking down a street, and the TAPS van stopped nearby and Grant got out and I said, "Hey, there's Grant! Holy cow!" and she just didn't seem impressed. In the dream I was so surprised that I just kind of stood there and blinked.

In another dream I found myself at a backlot of a TV studio, reconnecting with the three stars of Riptide. In the dream I had actually been on the show, and this was a year after it wrapped, and we were just getting together for old times' sake. Perry King found this--thing which looked like a toner replacement cartridge and claimed it was old footage of Joe Penny when he was on this show as an eight year old gangster's son. We watched the footage, and there was Joe, hiding behind a car that looked like it was from the forties, wearing old skool jeans and a white t-shirt. Joe got completely obsessed with it and we started rummaging around a back room trying to find more footage. Eventually Thom & Perry wandered off.

There was another one that was even stranger, but it's escaping me at the moment.

Anyway, I'm off to the optometrist's office again to get the third (and let's hope, final) lens.

What is the most compelling thing about RipTide that makes you dream about it?

Hmm. I think I've only ever had two Riptide dreams in the past year and a half, but still, I think that it's because I think about Riptide constantly, all day long, and I write it and narrate it in my head and it's always going.

For some reason, the characters appealed to me. I think it's actually the fanfic that drew me in; I was into the show, but the fanfic broadened the appeal and made it irresistible. I love how they interact, and they're just good guys, smart and strong and yet--there's a bit of darkness in their past that lends a nice sharp tooth to it all. *loves*

Hence my complete surprise and blinking-ness. I really was stunned. hee! I have a feeling that you might just explode upon seeing the Grantmeister...

OMG! That Joe Penny as a gangster's son! I feel I've seen this!?! That it exists out there or clearly I've had this dream too. :(

Weird.

Well, he was on a series called Gangster Wars (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0082434/), where he might have played a gangster's son. Turns out he played Bugsy Siegel.

However, in this dream he was eight, while in actuality he was in his twenties for that series. Strange, huh? ;)

Either that or we are brain twins, which I've suspected for some time. lol!

Are you sure you don't have an infection of some kind, V? Don't you usually get weird dreams then?

Wish I'd been in your Riptide dream, though -- I don't know that I would've wanted to wake up and face work this morning, though.

*grin*

heh--usually I get weird dreams from taking antibiotics, actually. These are probably because it's that time of the month, to be honest.

And the Riptide dream was nice. In the dream, Joe hugged me, and it was such a lovely hug and felt wonderful.

(PS: I was my Riptide Mary Sue character in the dream! The one I was telling you about ages ago. What a surprise that was!)
