bwuh, brain?

So I dreamt that I had superpowers--kind of like I was an enhanced human being with advanced abilities. And this guy got to know me, and we were in this strange very vertical football stadium, and I had vaulted down a few levels and was talking to the guy. And he seemed trustworthy, and he asked me what the secret was to my powers. And I told him it was my pancreas, which talked to me and gave me my abilities. He wanted to hear it talk, and I rolled my eyes, grinning, and said, "You can't hear it because it's inside of me. Only I can hear it."

We talked further, and he seemed really interested in my pancreas. So I made him promise to be careful, and then I stuck my fingers inside myself and pulled it out and handed it to him. He gave me an evil grin, and took off. Well, without the special recuperative powers of the magical talking pancreas, I could only live for an hour, and barely that. So I was flopping around like a fish out of water, desperate to have it back.

He showed up just as I was about to take my last breath, and gave it back, laughing, telling me that he knew all of its secrets and I was too far gone to live. I stuffed it back inside of myself, hoping that it would have enough power to bring me back.

The pancreas was not pleased with me. It was this weird cinnamon color and it was a little squishy and weird.

There was some subplot involving Green Lantern and a night op but I can't remember it now.

That? Is an awesome dream. It's time to write a fanfic about it, and you can make up the part about the Green Lantern and the night op. :-D

The subtitle: Never Give Anyone Your Magical Talking Pancreas. *grins*

(Unless you like cinnamon surliness). *g*

*snort* Yes, that. Poor thing, it was really pissed off at me.

So, did you live, or did you wake up before you found out if you lived, or not?

Amusingly enough, in the dream I knew I was the main character, so of course I'd live, because otherwise the movie would end prematurely. *giggles*

I'm glad you got it back! As we all know, people who die in their dreams either wake up or die for real and I really would have hated that. And think about your people who would have had to bury you without the pancreas. Wouldn't they wonder? Sheesh! So inconsiderate :-)

I am too! I was rather fond of my talking pancreas. It was kind of like KITT.

Though I have actually died in my dreams before. And I was just...dead. I woke up a little later, none the worse for wear. ;)

That? Is awesomely cracktastic. I love your brain. <3

I seriously can't stop rolling at "We talked further, and he seemed really interested in my pancreas."

I know, this was so strange, right? And typing it up only made me more aware of how strange it was. LOL!

You know, if someone had ever said to me "someone you know had a dream about a removable talking pancreas that gave them superpowers" I'd instantly know it was you. This is not a bad thing; this is an awesome thing. LOL.

hahaha! I'm so glad that it's amusing, seriously. :)
