It doesn't seem like blood related magic is an actual separate branch as depicted in tLS, though. I like the fact that all magic seem rather interrelated and divisions are merely there to make transfer and communication easier, much like science.
There are a few points where Ddore mentions that blood magic is an "ancient" magic. I tried to develop it with that in mind, and made it nonverbal, crude, and limited, and I love that it was used in the book. Yay!
