If I start watching an awful movie halfway through, then it somehow seems...less horrible. Mostly because it's like a puzzle
Little Big Sis and I do this all the time, right down to the complicated backstories we devise for the characters. Most of the time we're so busy figuring out this stuff we miss important parts of the actual movie. Which means more theorizing. It's a vicious cycle.
