Lumos Pics, Take One: Costumed Characters, Part One (Slytherins)

I'm back from Lumos, and I have lots of things in store for you, my poor flist! There is much spamming planned.

You'll quickly see that I have taken pictures of people...with the Giant Squid. Well, really he's a plush octopus, but let's not point it out...he's a bit sensitive.

Here is the first entry. This is the first half of the pics of people in costume that I took.

Please note that the lighting and backgrounds were not very conducive for nice, pretty pictures. I did the best I could, and I Photoshopped the hell out of some of it, and my Photoshop skills pretty much suck, so there you go.

I love the pics! Did you get any pics of Voldemort? My man was there and he shaved his eyebrows in order to play Voldie.

When he sends me pics, I plan to post them on my LJ. I will drop you a note so that you can check them out. (The same goes for my Hawaii pics, if you recall that I mentioned that I was going there in a few weeks. *squee*)

I look forward to seeing more of your pics. I hope you had a blast. Most of the folks who went said that they had a great time. The main problem was that the food was really, really awful.

I was so sad! I missed so many great costumes. I missed Sprout/mandrake, I missed several Snapes, I missed Movie!Hogwarts kids, I missed a couple great ones.

You are going to love Hawaii! I can't wait to see your pics.

I'm going to start work on another pic entry, and then see if I can write up the summary tonight, too.

Thank goodness you like them! I was a little worried...they are so yellowish and I couldn't seem to get the color cast option to work properly, so I had to leave them yellowish. :(

I tried to take a picture of your man whilst in the SH panel (I hadn't realized who he was in the other panels I was in with him until that moment) but he kept turning away. I'll post the one lowly picture that did come out (somewhat) good of him in a bit (in the process of fighting with photobucket to upload things right now).

*squees* I am so jealous, it seems like everyone else got wonderful pictures whereas only about 25 of mine came out to the point where they are recognizable (apparently my digital has a delay feature and if you move it during that peroid, it makes everything blurry :oS).

I had planned to go to Lumos when I found out about it. However, I had no idea that I was required to take a class in July at that time. I have been in school the ENTIRE summer, and I am so ready for a break. It was a major bummer not to be able to go to Vegas. I have been eagerly awaiting the return of my f-list so that I can live vicariously throught them.

I'm not sure if I would have had the balls to dress up in costume, though. Pink said I should go as Narcissa, but that is only because he has a Narcissa fetish. I wanted to go as Dumbldore. Don't ask me why, I just thought wearing a beard would make me feel butch ;P

I did not dress up, and I successfully avoided getting my picture taken too (expect for metamuse's). Bratlet though, as soon as he could he dressed in his robes, sweater and scarf all weekend, I was surprised he didn't roast. I did by myself some slytherin stuff (all the better to torture my kid with).

I was really lucky...my camera has a great nightshot feature that made it possible to take all of those pics.
