I actually did things yesterday. It made me feel much better.

My sister became sick at work yesterday with a terrible headache, so we left early and I drove us home. Terrible for her, but great for me; I accomplished round one of calling, and did a mega-listing on eBay (most items evah, yay), and I even moved the first bookcase in a short daisy chain of movements that will hopefully allow me to have another desk, one just for eBay stuff, so that I can get it all out of the living room.

Speaking of eBay...

I have done a couple stupid things in purchasing closeouts recently. As in, taking all of one item, and not realizing that it meant five containers' worth. So I've ended up with two or three things in enormous quantities. There's one particular item that I have a lot of money tied up in, but because it's not diverse, I've been selling it two teeny amounts at a time.

See, I like to keep opening bids reaaaally low. But at this rate it will be 1000 years before I get rid of it all.

So I thought, what the hell, instead of selling it by the piece ($1.25), I'll sell it in a package (about 50 pieces). Then I thought, naw, people won't be interested, a package'll start at $45!

I did it anyway. And this morning, already, three people are watching one package, and two are watching the other. *stares in disbelief* I really, really, really hope they buy them. *crosses fingers*

The three ebay-people watching your packages sound great!

*crosses fingers as well*

And yay for space and doing things! *hugs*

Wooot on all accounts! It's amazing how people buy things on eBay.

Doing things always puts me in a good mood. I did some packing last night and felt good. The move is this weekend, whee!

Hey, you never know, maybe someone is thinking Christmas party favors for a bunch of women or something. Seems like there's always a buyer for everything on Ebay. I watched two watches from the same seller over two days. The first day there was a frenzy of bids on the first watch and it went for $51 - out of my price range. The second day the exact same watch was ending ... and I was the only bidder, got it for the starting bid of $29.95. Ebay is weird, but fun.

I love eBay, most of the time. Sometimes it's incredibly frustrating (if I had a dime for every stupid, obviously answered in the description question...) and sometimes it's exhilarating.

Yay packing! Here's hoping the move goes perfectly.

You hit it right on the head. EBay is WEIRD.

I will never understand why, when there are TWO IDENTICAL ITEMS up for sale, two people will fight over ONE of them and neither bids on the other. Which is the same. Identical. Listing. heh.

It's a rush, I tell you. I've never bought, but I've sold lots over the last year, and it is still a big rush every time the auctions get to their closing moment.

You'll have to post and tell us if the 50 piece packages sold or not and if they sold for a price you had expected. I'm really curious now to see how it turns out.

I'm dying of curiosity, too. They're already up to six watchers in just one day! *crosses fingers*

That sounds like a bit of fun to do RL; I only manage to auction when playing World of Warcraft. ;)

BTW, happy belated Birthday! I saw someone post about it during my futile attempt to catch up again...

*hugs* I hope your next year is a good one!

Oh, thanks for the birthday wishes! I had a nice time.

I love eBay about 99% of the time. The other 1% of the time I wish I could reach through the internet and slap people. hee!

*hugs* Thank you!

Sounds like most of my technical support experiences, except the percentages would be switched on the worst days. :)
