I think I'm sick. Sinuses and sore throat. Please let it not be the ten day nightmare from December, come back like an avenging evil to haunt me again.
I could barely sleep last night.
I'm full of dread and I see dire portents in all places.
I've also contracted my monthly (and apparently quite melodramatic, this time) Aunt Martha, and she's really making me think that there is no hope on this Earth...moreso than usual. I had a moment yesterday, one of those infrequent moments where I think, it will never, ever be right again, if it ever was in the first place, everything is diminishing, the light has passed into the West, and I want fried chicken right now and there is no fried chicken here, woe. I suppose they're useful occasionally, because they provide the Bottom Floor to build a rickety ego, but still, I don't think anyone enjoys them, and I still have that icky feeling everytime I sit still for a second because I slip back into it somehow and it's rather slimy.
Thank goodness I have some chocolate here somewhere. Oh, and chocolate covered macadamia nuts leftover from the Kona airport. That should help.
