By this time tomorrow, we'll all be waist-deep in stories. I'm so excited!

Have partially reread the snupin I wrote...as usual, I like it a lot, and wince about its weaknesses. But enough about my insecurities.

That's why I love these fests so much. The anonymous nature of the author means that people will often try the story based on pairing and premise alone. It's the author's job to pull them through the plot in an interesting manner. Also, it's a chance to get new people to read your work. I'm very excited.

I do love to see the guessing game as well. I'm absolutely terrible at it. I can usually only figure out a few, and that's usually based on a lucky guess.

So now I have to work on plotting out the Giant Trip of Doom, that looong trip I took earlier this year that I'm going to try to duplicate next Spring. *crosses fingers* There are so many hours of work tied into this, long before I step foot in my car, in fact. I'm not looking forward to it.

Also, I can't find my atlas, which is making me mental.

A big happy round of confetti to all fest mods and participants. Everyone works so hard on producing lovely things for this month! I'm so looking forward to it. *throws HP-themed confetti into the air*

Y'know, I keep forgetting that I get a fic in exchange, too. I just remembered it today, and squeed. Last year I was unbelievably lucky enough to get fic from one of my all-time favorite writers, [livejournal.com profile] kaiz, and boy, that probably spoiled me forever. heh. I can't wait to see what happens!

I'm trying to put together the Long Trip of Doom. This is the worst part...trying to get it all worked out logistically. Last time I did not leave myself enough time, and I ended up making three horrible drives during it. I'm working on it from a different angle this time. I'm going to increase the time I spend in bigger areas like Los Angeles and San Francisco and Portland, and try to minimize time I spend in other areas, if possible. Still, the miles are there, and I'll have to drive them, regardless. But I'm going to try to give myself a little more leeway.

The only problem is Easter. I really don't want to do a trunk show on Easter weekend for obvious weekends. But I'll be smack dab in the middle of LA, CA that weekend, and I'm really trying to figure out what to do. Maybe I'll just hang out.

[livejournal.com profile] subrosax, are you up for an Easter weekend full of fun and frolic? heh.
