Oh, the birthdays don't stop...

Happy Birthday to a wonderful LJer! It's lovely when you update--I enjoy reading what you have to say (hint, hint). *hugs* I hope your day is great!

So.

The show was...okay. Barely okay. I had a free night at a hotel, because I had accumulated a lot of hotel points, so that helped. (I was dismayed upon check-in because they had a Party Policy poster. If a hotel displays a PP poster, then they clearly have issues with parties. Which they did. Fortunately, it was an older crowd and they settled down at eleven. But then there were the hyperkinetic people in the room above me and the pipes banging in the walls...well, you get the picture.)

At the show, my booth was across the room from another booth manned by a guy who looked like Oded Fehr from a distance, and Oded's second cousin twice removed close up. Not bad. Still, my brain kept seeing him out of the corner of my eye, and saying, "WTF?!! OMG?! Oh, yeah, him again." Distracting. But a nice kind of distracting.

I was kind of busy, but I did start drawing up a prototype for my Weekly List of Listness. I have to remember that it's an experiment, and even if I miss a week (or two), I shouldn't hit myself on the head with a stuffed iguana. I have to remember that I'm not likely to be perfectly consistent. Ever.

I missed you all. Will be home for nine days, and I'm really going to work on the website. Things are actually happening. Thank goodness for Website Friend.

In a strange coincidence, I think I saw atdt1991 at a gas station on my way out of town on Saturday...one hundred and thirty miles away from my apartment. I was walking in, and a guy walked out the door past me, and then did a double-take, but I didn't make much of it. Later on, after a text message and a lot of thought, I came to the brilliant conclusion that it might have been him.

The weird thing? Earlier in the drive I was thinking of him and wishing I had his phone number. That's what makes it freaky-deaky.
