I have an iPass transponder to pay tolls while I drive through Illinois.
It was acting a little funny on the last trip, and now I know why--I just received a Notice of Toll Violation document to the tune of $84.50 from the Illinois Tollway.
So I'm calling. Look, I know it's going to take awhile to get through, right? So I'm prepared to sit on hold for as long as it takes.
NOPE. Their stupidass system DOES NOT HOLD CALLS. I get a busy signal instead.
WTF. WTF.
ETA: Yeah, my transponder is toast. I just checked and my balance was more than sufficient to pay the tolls. I did wonder why it didn't seem to be registering...will have to buy a new one.
ETAETA: Holy cow, I didn't notice until just now that the dates are between 5/24/07 and 9/17/07. Wow. Well, they dismissed the fines, but wow. Clearly my transponder acts wonky now and then. Plus, the iZoom in Indiana never seems to accept it, so that's it--I'm buying a new one.
