Sigh of relief
Mar. 6th, 2010 03:04 pmSo far, today has been quite nice and relaxing. Really, though, anything would be an improvement over yesterday.

marginaliana's journal. I always feel bad about not participating; it looks fun. However, in my case it would be extraordinarily boring because I only usually have one WIP at a time. There is also something in me which prevents me from giving out any details about fic. Hence my horrible summaries. I hate to spoil people. I'll try, though. This is from my (currently) 45,000 word latest bloated Riptide epic:
Today was the first day [Nick]'d woken up and hadn't had to force himself out of bed with a crowbar, and to celebrate, he'd shown up at Tammi and Eric's door with a six-pack of beer. He'd regret the expense later.
See? Not very exciting.
I just thought of a new killer scene for the fic, but the other scenes I had in my head are all gone, so I'll have to flail about today and try to think of more stuff.
On the retail front... What is going on with Etsy? I haven't sold almost anything since I returned. Like, seriously, two orders. I could barely keep my shop restocked before I left, and had trouble keeping it anywhere near 100 items, but right now I'm up to 124. Very very weird. eBay has also been quiet, but not quite that quiet.
I was considering opening a Big Cartel shop, but I've nixed that idea because of various problems. First, it could only solve only one of my two of my main problems (1. I want to use my own online credit card processing account, and 2. I want to sell more than one item at a time without having to add a new pic for every lot), and then I found out that shipping is entirely handled through Paypal and most people have to get another PP account just for BC. Sorry, no go. I already have 2 PP accounts and I don't want another. Besides, I'm running out of checking accounts to attach them to. LOL.
