Oh, joy, joy, joy, chapter 59 is done, uploaded, given to the review gods and goddesses.

The amazing joys of chat...

Yesterday I forgot to mention that I chatted with the ever-gracious [livejournal.com profile] mysduende as well. Please accept my apologies!

Yes, I chatted with both of the owners of my two favorite Snapesites...on the same day. I'm such a geek...squee!

Not to mention the bubbly [livejournal.com profile] aerynstales as well. She is quite the expert at derailing trains of thought. In a very, very good way.

I really have to finish the two long LJ entries I've been working on, and finish the last (and shortest) piece of the Australian entries. I need to finish my outline for tLS and bridge the gap so that I can take the audience to the next section, which is quite action packed and will be tremendously challenging.

I don't know how you guys write, but my process goes like this...I think of the plot, outline it all, and then whenever I have spare time I find myself "writing" the narration in my head for different key scenes. By the time I actually get to the typing part I've re-written the important scenes at least three or four times, though I have no record of it. But somehow it seems to help.

It used to be that I wanted to write, but was convinced that I shouldn't bother. Then I just kept writing in my head, for years and years. I always had three different stories going at once; a superspy story, a fantasy story, and whatever happened to be in my interest at the moment story. Then I wrote a bit of fanfic in 1999 or 2000, and I just felt defeated, like I wasn't good enough. (This was before I found the internet, thank goodness.) So I kept writing in my head again. And now, it just feels more natural to me, and if the flow is good, the words keep coming. Certainly I get stuck, but with the important scenes I've written them so many times in my head that I can usually work through it with more ease than scenes that are not plotted out. Of course, I'm such a newbie still, and I have a long path to tread in writing before I can call myself a writer, but for right now, I'm very happy that I've gotten to the stage where I've practiced the narrative in my head enough to be able to get through a bit of fanfiction without shouting "I suck!!" and pulling out all of my hair.

Another 750 words and I'll break the 100K mark for tLS...wow! Starting chapter 60 really made me feel like I've come a long way.

Only thing is...will I still have people who want to read how it ends? I hope so. Another two chapters of emotion and progress and long dialogues and such and then I can proceed to some of the meat of the chapter, scenes that I've been itching to write for months now. I just need to get through the next two chapters and the angstravaganza will continue merrily on its way.

Thanks for listening, flist.

Heh...well it's a pleasure de-railing ya! I'm just way too giddy and bubbly for words this week...think it's lack of sleep and too much studying. Feel free to buzz anytime!

No apology necessary! I'm glad we got to add each other on YIM so we can get to know one another better. :)

*blushes* Aww, shucks. I just run a humble lil' Snape site. But thank you! An honor to be considered a 'favorite.'

I do feel rather guilty that I haven't updated in ages.

*face palms* Such is RL getting in the way of my 'other' life.

As for your writin, at least you actually write and have a plan of attack. I'm horrid at it! Teh Queen of run-on sentences.

Oh, I can't believe that! ;) You're just inspired by his unending hot snarkitude. Hee!

I hope you're planning another recommendation soon...that would be awesome!

Am finally catching up on my reading and read ch 59. Nice discussion of revenge (quite amusing that Severus hadn't thought that she might want revenge on him). And Sarah noticed what Narcissa was wearing...

I'd say you'll still have people who want to read how it ends :).

Thanks for reading! I had a hellish time writing that conversation, but it came out better than I had imagined.

Glad you picked up on Sarah noticing Narcissa's outfit...I'm trying to show that she's a little more aware now of things besides herself.

And I really do hope people continue to read. I have two more chapters of "background" and setup and then there will be a strong action segment that I have written in my head at least six or seven times. I am really, really hoping that it comes out as I hope it will.
