The show went well--better than expected. I didn't have extremely high gopes for this show, but I am pleasantly--more than pleasantly, in fact--surprised.

I had excellent luck, which is a rare thing for me. Unfortunately, it was at the expense of others' luck. None of the OH vendors could make it due to the weather, so not only did I receive an extra table for free, but there were that many fewer tables to buy from.

My voice is a bit strained, I have a bastard headache/jawache/neckache, and I'm completely tired out. I've decided to spend the rest of the evening doing absolutely nothing. *fires up Battle for Middle Earth*

Yeah, no one in northern Ohio went much of anywhere from late Friday afternoon until this morning. Talk about snowbound. Luckily, the snow stopped here in the early morning hours and the roads were cleared enough that my girl scout troop could do our cookie booth at the local grocery store - and, people had enough cabin fever and needed enough food that we sold many of the cases of cookies I had piled in my living room.

Glad your show went well, and that someone besides snowplow services benefited from our lousy weather!

Oh, congrats on the great cookie sales!!

I still feel bad that it was due to the misfortune of others that I did so well. I hope that they have opportunities to make up for it!

*hugs*

Don't feel guilty about having a good event in part because the OH vendors ran into weather problems. It happens on the show circuit. There'll be times when you're the one on the negative end of the weather or have to miss a show due to illness and the dealers who would have been next to you will 'luck out'. It all balances out in the long run in terms of merchant 'karma'.

You deserve a bit of luck, and there's usually only so much to go around. I'm glad you sold a lot.

Get well soon with that headache of yours.

Ah, yes--merchant karma is pretty damned pervasive. Still, my sympathies abound for those who didn't get to participate--I know that, but for a shifting snow-belt, there goeth I. ;)

;) Thanks, sweetie. The headache is slowly receding--I have a feeling it's weather related.
