No set of pics from me would be complete without a cemetery pic...here it is. I leaned in through a broken wall to take this picture of the interior of a mausoleum. It is probably my favorite picture of all cemetery pictures. It was very difficult to take, and the original is skewed one way because I could barely aim, but I fixed it. I love this picture so much, especially the amazing triple set up of broken urn, statue, urn. And it's amazing how everything is growing inside in such a beautiful manner...

Thank you so very much! I've taken way too many pictures. Most of them turn out awful. But then a few end up capturing that elusive set of criteria that make them "good". :)

Beautiful photos. I like the last one the best - I can't believe that is inside. One could probably come up with something profound about the cycle of life or life growing amid death or something.

If one were profound.

I like the looking up into the masts one too. Very artistic.

Yes, the roof of the mausoleum had caved in at some point. I just can't believe I had enough light, honestly, and I'm so grateful it turned out.

My sister thought I was crazy when I took the picture looking up into the mast...

I love these! Especially numbers 1 and 3 of the ship. I like pics that are taken from original angles. Isn't the Constitution located in Boston?? (excuse my ignorance!) If it's the same one, I've actually visited it. Over ten years ago now, on my only trip to the US to date. I've got relatives living near Boston - I thought it was a fantastic city.

They were fun to take. I have lots more. There are one or two of the interior that I might upload because they're fairly interesting as well.

Yes, the Constitution is docked in Boston, and it was the highlight of the trip! What a sense of history it has. I loved walking around above and below. It was a tremendous experience. I've been many places in the US, and Boston was probably one of my favorites. I love how the city is so beautiful, how they take care of things, how they restore. It really is an amazing place.

Yes, I remember doing lots of planned walks, or 'trails' around the city, each one devoted to a different aspect. There was also a fantastic aquarium. And I did a tour of Harvard which was interesting.

OMG the last two frankly make me yearn. So beautiful!

And the first one makes me think "hmmm, it's been a while since I watched Pirates of the Caribbean..." :) Really stunning clouds you got for that picture.

Do you have a bigger version of the Venice doorway pic? I'd love to make it my desktop wallpaper at work. I always have pictures from places around the world on the desktop there for mini-vacations when the phones get to be too taxing, and I have a collection of door pictures (Ireland, Scotland, Morocco, France).

I will send you the Venice doorway image. It is scanned, though, so it isn't as high-quality as it would have been with the digital camera, but I'll send you the scan.

I love pictures of doors! I have a fab one that I took in Cape Cod last year. I'll try to find that for you and add it to my next scan entry...
