I am installing Windows XP on the old computer. Which involves deleting everything on the hard drive. I am still rather emotional about this.

So distract me. If any of you are around, ask me a question. Keep in mind I will not give out certain bits of information. Please don't ask me what I sell, for example, because it's rather identifiable. Thanks.

Okay. I have a question.

What is the capital of Nebraska?

What!!! You didn't specify what the questions should be about. :)

What's the favourite part of your personality? The one that you hope others will notice and like/appreciate about you?

You know, that was going to be my question. :) On the other hand, though, I'm very glad to hear you exclude it - mainly because I always assumed everyone else knew what you sold, and I was a bad friend not to know. :)

So, if you're excluding it from the list of questions we can ask, that means that it's not widespread knowledge and that it wouldn't do me any good to ask anyway - and that my lack of knowledge on the topic is due to design on your part and not ineptitude on mine and is therefore perfectly fine.

...wow, I really do need to go take my Ritalin.

Boxers or briefs?

Nick or Cody?

Why won't yahoo accept ANY of the dozen usernames I just tried to sign up with?

Asparagus or tomato?

You're on an island, surrounded by water and all you've got on the island are a pair of men's white tube socks, a container of lemon curd and a small green yo-yo. What are the five books you wish you'd brought with?

What should I knit next: redoing the open-weave light pullover I had to frog because it was nine sizes too large or socks?

What would it take to get you to go rock climbing?

Hot air balloon ride or skydiving?

A man walked into a bar. What did he say?

Although that's easily one of the most entertaining comments I've read in the past month. Carry on.

Um. I have to say that this is a really difficult question to answer! I cringe when I try to identify anything about myself that people might actually like.

But here goes. My goofy sense of humor. I really am a goof, completely, and that's what I hope people like. I'd hate to find out it was irritating. :(

I loved Gonzo and Animal. And I had a soft spot for Kermit. But let's see...if I had to choose just one...Animal. :)

Boxers or briefs?

I like to see men in briefs, definitely.

Nick or Cody?

Nick. It wasn't obvious?

Why won't yahoo accept ANY of the dozen usernames I just tried to sign up with?

Because of complicated trade agreements signed with the Moldovan Ferret Authority.

Asparagus or tomato?

Tough question! If a tomato is just a tomato, and asparagus is just asparagus, then...Tomato.

You're on an island, surrounded by water and all you've got on the island are a pair of men's white tube socks, a container of lemon curd and a small green yo-yo. What are the five books you wish you'd brought with?

Ah, you really had me intrigued there, but then you pulled out the standard deserted island book scenario.

Woman on the Edge of Time
Grey.Safelike.
the Hobbit
entire works of Katherine Anne Porter (it's a single giant book, I swear)
How to Survive on a Deserted Island

What should I knit next: redoing the open-weave light pullover I had to frog because it was nine sizes too large or socks?

Socks.

What would it take to get you to go rock climbing?

A gun.

Hot air balloon ride or skydiving?

If I was forced to, hot air balloon ride. But there is some weirdness involved with me hot air balloons, some strange psychological weirdness, so it would not be pleasant. But I don't think I could actually jump out of a plane.

A man walked into a bar. What did he say?

"Once, I was like you. I cared about these things. This bar, this beer, this dusty glass. I spoke to men like you about things I thought I understood. But now I know the truth. We are a veil, rustling and ripped, a curtain stretched across something we should not see.

"If you had any brains at all, you'd be in the gutter, on your knees, giving your deity of choice the begging treatment. You'd be howling for a way out.

"But you're just like me. Like I was. You think this matters. You think another sip of this whiskey will let the pain go. You think another moment will bring your horse in, with a rider who will bring an end to your frustrations.

"Your pain and sorrow, your grief, your diversions--all will keep you from the truth. If you have any hope for something more, any wish for a reality you can really touch, you will put down that glass and follow me out this door."

Not so much gave up as saw something shiny before I came up with a good one. :)

And yes, I did go take it. And now it's worn off. And I've had ice cream. With peanut butter sauce and whipped cream and white chocolate chips.

And yeah, I should go play with more shineys because this? Can't end well.
