Part two: the show...
Aug. 31st, 2005 10:12 pmIt was very, very slow. I was very, very bored.
I wrote more on my outline for tLS.
I wrote an enormous to-do list.
There were very few customers, most of them unknowledgeable, so it was somewhat frustrating. Oh well.
Had someone say our bags were "very colorful". They're printed in black and white.
I would put up the to-do list, but the writing is too small, and it wouldn't make much sense anyway.
I like Chicago, I really do. But I'm still not feeling 100% recovered, and the drive from WI to Chicago each day took two hours one way, and it was a Friday-Saturday-Sunday show, so there was a lot of driving.
The first day, I had directions that I had printed out, but the place where the show was wasn't identified on the building at all, and I had to go around the block, and then I accidentally got on the freeway and nearly passed out while driving. Very strange. I have been having difficulty drawing in breath at times since the stitches were taken out, and the doctor's office said it was most likely asthma, but I ended up pulling over on the entrance ramp and trying to not pass out. It was kind of scary.
Anyway, it was pretty frustrating, but I did get to the show. We only had a small booth, and it was very easy to set up. Other than that I can't think of much to say.
I was really glad to work on the outline. Then when I was unpacking this morning the outline fell out of my notebook and almost blew away. I really would have been horrified if that had happened.
Oh, and while I was in the grocery store the notebook was on my frontseat, and part of the outline was visible, and it said "Uses Painstone" and "Kills everyone", so I kind of hope no one walked past and read that, because it's rather bizarre. (It was a dream Sarah had in chapter 64 or 65.)

Now...cool on the writing!!! We've been productive bees ourselves. Got two one shots done (plotting out the backstory still...got it mostly done...phew!). One is on Occlumency and the other is in the queue.
Um...question for you oh mod of wisdom...should I put links for them on Quirky? *scratches head*

Date: 2005-09-01 03:04 pm (UTC)That someone thought to comment on your colorful black and white bags is odd, to say the least. Maybe he/she thought your bags belonged to someone else.
Woohoo! Idiots at trade shows. I always felt stupid when I went with dad to his. At least I managed to ask intelligent questions about the colored concrete, although I couldn't go look at anyplace that had any and was bummed about that.
Get some rest.
