I'm all behind
Oct. 8th, 2005 09:04 pmNo, I'm not implying that I am a massive posterior (though it is, in fact, rather impressive).
I had my timing all worked out: Thursday, setup the show. Friday, work the show, come home and do eBay stuff because 42985624398 auctions were ending on Thursday. Sat, work show, eat out with friend. Sun, pack up and come home.
However, I ended up going out with friend on Friday. Now I have confused eBay people and one eBay guy who really needs to calm down. Packages do not instantly teleport themselves.
So I'm all off-balance now and the flist is skip?=240. Yikes!
I have a great Crazy Customer story, though.
Lady walks in an wanders around the room. She has two bags and her purse and seems very disorganized. Eventually I ask her if she'd like to put her things on the chair (instead of on top of merchandise! argh!) and she looks at me with this Space Creature Wide Eyed Look and puts them down right where she is standing in the middle of the floor. I repeat, wouldn't you like to put them on the chair so people won't step on them?
She gets the hint and puts her things on the chair and then wanders around the room three times like a complete loon.
Eventually she comes back up to me and says, "I'm just so crushed that I won third place. I should have won first."
Huh?
"Everyone agreed that I should have won first place."
Er...for what?
"For my [insert loony piece of craft here]! I was crushed for weeks. It's all political. But then I thought, why am I upset? So then I wasn't."
Er...okay.
"My friend passed away."
Oh, I'm so sorry.
[Insert lengthy long-winded story about funeral home and the deceased friend (who passed away thirty years ago, btw) appearing in car postmortem and explaining that she's happy now]
Er, okay.
"Should I tell the ladies at the [group judging her craft] this story for this year's competition?"
Please go away. Now. Preferably quickly.
This is where I am. Talking to an idiot about how she was robbed of first place for a (no doubt) awful piece of junk instead of being at TWH. Wah!
Well, there's always
