Imagine my surprise when there were Rev War re-enactors at the cemetery walk. They were very interesting.

Also, [livejournal.com profile] tamony_lenore...there are pictures of a pond I was telling you about months ago. Unfortunately it isn't as pretty as it was in early Spring, all frosted over with eerie blue ice, but it is pretty cool still.

Reenactment

This was quite fascinating. The guy in grey is portraying an officer. The guy in the brown coat (Samwise) is portraying an average civilian who joined the militia. The guy in white is a "Ranger", one of the guys involved in guerilla warfare of the time. The girl is just cold.

Loading

Loading their weapons.

Cloud of smoke

Just fired them.

There was a little old lady who immediately latched on to me at the beginning of the walk. After the guy babbled about the camp and then moved off to do the firing interlude she turned to me and sniffed, "Isn't that typical! They leave the woman behind."

Pond view one

Pond, long view.

Pond view two

Pond, my kind of view.

Narcissa

Self-explanatory. (Won't Lucius be annoyed? And a Muggle graveyard, at that.)

Hmmm… well if you feel you need to spice up your posting. I can recommend a guy to write for you. He is currently offering a special.

HE will write you a post about a crazy night out with a business partner then throw in the follow up post of regretting that ever happened at no additional cost. I almost took the special, but decided to stay with my plan.

A special? I'm intrigued...

But you know, the girl who writes mine is pretty dedicated. She rarely misses a day. Even though some days she talks about jello molds.

And her price can't be beat. $Free.99!

Ha! I just knew someone was going to ask that. :P

If they had, it might have made things a bit easier, truthfully.

reinactors make me laugh. But in a good way. I would totally do that.

Lake is pretty.

Gravestone is amusing. Who would name their kid Narcissa. What's their other kid's name? Snobbia?

What cemetary were you at? I went to a walk in Clarkston a couple of years ago. It was really interesting.

One of the Farmington cemeteries. It's actually privately owned! The woman tried to sell us plots at the end. ;)

Seriously, I almost laughed when she started mentioning that it was $650 per plot, and she even mentioned that she had a "salesman" who made $25 for each plot he sold...

There's a small old graveyard about 5 minutes away (walking) from where I live. I think I'll have to go and take a few snapshots for you.
