Oh, I forgot about this one.
Mar. 29th, 2006 06:45 pmI forgot how much I like this meme. So go ahead. Ask me a question. Er, I feel the need to qualify this with: I don't know how much time I have tonight, so only ten questions please and thank you; and I might be circumspect in my answers, so as not to give out identifying details.
And behold the new really gold Lion icon.

Date: 2006-03-30 01:04 am (UTC)Well...let me think. I'm not certain what the definition of sexual is to you, but I'll give it a shot.
Sex isn't extremely important in my life. It's fun, yes, but it's not the incredible rapture so often described in romance novels. Whether or not people love each other, it can be loving or hot, or both, or neither.
I consider myself to be perhaps a bit below average in some ways, because I'm much more of a goofball in a relationship usually, more than a sexually charged person. I remember that I had a relationship with a guy years ago where I got so sick of him hugging me and immediately grabbing whatever naughty bits were near that it made me not want to hug him.
I have this desire, sometimes, for relationships to be fun and goofy and sweet, without the underlying adult themes of power and/or desire that sometimes accompany sexual moments.
Er, does this answer it? Let me know if I can clarify it.

Date: 2006-03-30 01:17 am (UTC)My relationships are almost always fun and goofy and sweet because... well, if someone didn't want that, they wouldn't date me. *big grin* I think laughing during sex situations is a great, good thing.
Anyway, since you've answered one but it looks like there are still quesitons to be asked (I admit I haven't looked), how about this: Do you consider yourself a sensual person? Do you think you're very in-touch with your senses, and do you find yourself really enjoying them, or do you consider yourself a more "internal" or conceptual person?

I'm much more of a thinker than a doer, and have always been like that. I'm kind of detached sometimes, and I do tend to overthink things. But I have a strong emotional side, as well, and a bit of a temper sometimes, though that has relaxed a lot over the years. I can be very stubborn. So I have this basic left brain/right brain split, though I do find myself in tune with both sides sometimes.
I find it hard to enjoy some things that other people seem to like very much. I don't like to be outdoors; it's always either too hot or too cold, though of course I do go to Renfests and do things outside occasionally.
I love to eat, and I love to eat yummy food, and especially really tart apples and great blue cheese, and for me it's a very strong pleasure. I like to listen to music very much, and I get into it more than some people I know. So there are things that engage my senses, that's true. But I don't know if I would call myself a sensual person.

Date: 2006-03-30 01:46 am (UTC)I think you answered the question, but just to be clear, I mean the kind of sensuality that will have you closing your eyes to taste the melting chocolate, or feeling a breeze against your skin, or find an overwhelming feeling when you hear a perfect vocal harmony. :)
