Red sea urchin
There is a red sea urchin on the middle rock. Seriously, he's HUGE. Oh, and that's a pretty big wave, too.

Giant snail.
Seriously, he's the size of my fist. This was taken by my friend with my camera.

Giant bumblebee.
He's so giant and snuggly and cute. The only bumblebees we saw on Hawai'i were giant and completely black.

Egret.
These were everywhere on the roads, roaming the traffic islands.

I love the hermit crab. How tiny!

Praying mantis - well... I think they are squick-tastic. Very fascinating sexual behaviour, very devouring, so to say. *shudders*

It was such a cute little crab! It kept scurrying around. We put it right back in the water when we were done, though, so don't worry too much about him. ;)

He was such a happy snail! He was on our pathway two days in a row, and so big and cute.

We took a flash photo of him by accident, and he turned (ever so slowly of course) and tried to go the other way. Poor guy! He's probably still traumatized.
