I was thinking about the end of pottersues.

So, with the end of pottersues imminent, I will point to _scourgify_, which is a LotR/HP sporking comm. It's a lot slower, but quite amusing.

I haven't been entirely happy with pottersues since the changeover earlier this year; it seemed like some of the sparkle left. So I haven't been commenting at all, much less reading. From now on I'm sticking with scourgify.

I watched deleterius for a long time. I'm still a member over there.

I liked deleterius a lot, except for a few things:

a) the constant flow of sues. I mean, just way too many.

b) the quality of the sue reports. Some weren't that interesting.

c) the OT stuff. Like, every month someone discovers gmonkey42's comic and has to post about it. I mean, I adore the comic, but after awhile I just don't want to hear about it every month. There are weird entries, too, like people complaining about the reactions of other people, or revenge entries.

I like scourgify because the reports are much more infrequent, and some are really funny.

I can see that. I've had it joined for quite some time (probably to read some hilarious locked drama), but couldn't keep it friended for more than a day due to the volume. Same with bad_rpers_suck. But I just had to read the locked post about the uke character who was a rape victim and had five scars around his anus in a star pattern.

I like scourgify too, there are not nearly as many posts (which keeps the old friends page from exploding in a frenzy), and some of them are really well done. And of course one of it's founders is the lovely luvboromir24601.

Yes, those are the exact reasons I still watch _scourgify_. I like the relaxed pace, and some of my favorite LJers are over there!
