Today's LJ feed of Neil Gaiman's blog has a terrific resource. Someone was asking him about how to get a literary agent, and how best to find a competent literary agent, and he sent off said question to a long-time literary agent, and she answered. In detail! With actual linkity links!

Resource for finding literary agent

Check it out, if you have a moment. It's worth a click if you want a small helpful insider's look at the publishing industry.

[livejournal.com profile] mctabby's Summary Executions...

Everyone is taken aback when Snape's daughter (!!!) comes to Hogwards. She's a natural-born Animagus who wears black make-up and has tons of piercings, with very special abilities up her sleeve. She's like nothing anyone had ever seen before.

At this point no one is taken aback. Really. Honestly, none of those exclamation marks are necessary. And I'd just like to mention that, unfortunately, she's like everyone we've ever seen before. Literally. Minerva is probably saying "Get in line with the rest of the trampy little trollops."

Severus is probably unconscious from overexertion. He must be a pauper as well...they probably had to start garnishing his Hogwarts pay.

It would be funny if all of the mothers of the SnapeDaughter!Sues got together and sued him for alimony and/or support. (Sued! Ha!) Now that would be a fic I'd read.

...for those who occasionally have a link in [livejournal.com profile] daily_snitch and [livejournal.com profile] quickquote.

I assume you e-mail the comm in question with a link...what else do you usually provide? A small description? Your LJ infopage link? [livejournal.com profile] privatemaladict, [livejournal.com profile] junediamanti, I know you've both been featured...any suggestions?
