Trying to do too much results in too little.

I am delighted and ecstatic about the number of entries (nine!) for the Fairy Tale Challenge on quirkyhpshorts.

I am neither delighted nor ecstatic about my entry. I had several ideas, and I did have some time during the weekend, but somehow nothing really came through strong enough for me to write it. I did "write" one, eventually, but it was mostly just a bit of a rewrite of a Post Wheeler classic tale. So I'm really disappointed. I really wanted to write the SS/RL story that I had in my head, but I didn't want to do it without re-reading the source material first.

So the source material will be here in about four days. I'll definitely write it when I get back from WI.

However, I did manage to scope out the next chapter of tLS in my head, so I'll definitely get that out before I leave. I'm looking forward to another nice quiet weekend, sorting merchandise and writing, wandering about on the net.
