Is it possible to hate eBay even more?
Mar. 11th, 2010 06:47 amSo I sent an email to the woman yesterday who felt the item was plastic and not glass. I had already sent the refund, and so I explained that I had sent a refund. I also wrote out a few methods of telling if the item in question is glass or not. And then I asked her, in my most belly-crawling tones, if she could tell me why she thought it was plastic.
She sent a reply explaining why she'd passive aggressively given me positive fb but a negative comment; she didn't want to harm my fb rating. Very nice, thanks, but this is one of my most popular items and now it bears the taint of being called plastic. (Fortunately, most people don't actually read the fb and it will get buried fairly quickly.)
Now, in the few other cases like this, the person has, of course, never replied.
But this customer did! Her reply to why she felt it was plastic?
"Both my husband and I felt it was plastic."
I am transfixed by rage right now. Not only are they both completely and utterly wrong--the item in question is probably actually crystal, to tell you truthfully--but that is not a why.
I've sent another email asking for a why, which will most likely not be returned.
(And yeah, I know that this is really stupid of me to be so pissed, but it's just tremendously irritating right now.)
