I have a show...and a four hour drive to get there. (Yes, it is really 5 am as I type this, I'm about to walk out the door.)

I'll be back tomorrow evening, though I most likely won't be coherent.

*hugs the flist* Don't wait up for me. hee!

Are you referring to that sensation I call 'road trip wired'?

It often happens when I spent too many hours driving home from a show. I walk through the door, give hubbie a hug, flop into my favorite chair, yet it's like I'm still in the van -- my legs want to pretend they're jello, I swear I can still feel road vibrations in my tush, my hands have cramps from gripping the steering wheel, and my mind won't drop out of that 'avoid the idiots on the road' hyper alert mode.

On such occasions I have to play video games for 2-3 hours before I wind down enough to be able to sleep.

hee! Yeah, I call it Road Buzz, but I don't get it like I used to, actually. I used to close my eyes, and it would still feel like I was traveling 70 miles per hour. Now, I just get into Anxiety Mode, which consists of this stupid sort of internal monologue:

Did I remember to get enough gasoline for tomorrow? What time do I need to get up? Should I unpack the main bag? What about the toiletries bag? Do I need to do laundry? Do I need to unpack everything, including the trunk? Do I need to repack? and so on and so on aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh.

By the way, I totally forgot about daylight savings time, and so missed out on my chance for an extra hour's sleep. *rolls eyes at silly, forgetful self*
