Slowly the yucky-music gremlins are chipping away at the decent music stations here. I came back from a trip recently, for example, only to find that 106.7 had gone country. Ugh.

100.3, which is not really a favorite station by far, but which does occasionally yield a decent song, has begun playing Christmas music.

Thank goodness I have Sirius. I think I'd go mad, otherwise.

Weird thing is, Chicago is starting to sound a little strange to me as well. I used to really enjoy driving through, because they had three hard rock stations which were terrific. Now only one of them remains, and they've gone to a "shuffle" play format. It's just not the same. I haven't heard Disturbed, which is really odd, because Disturbed is a Chicago band.

All the more reason to download more [livejournal.com profile] snapecast episodes, right?

Damn straight! ;)

But Christmas music this early? That's insane...

I'm sad, I'm all caught up with Snapecast! I'll just have to wait another month.

I'm in absolute shock about listening to Christmas music...in the rain.

Geez, when they say Christmas season, they aren't kidding, are they? The radio stations in Cleveburg have been afflicted by the same creeping disease. The only place to hear anything new or intellectually challenging is on the tiny college radio stations (which are powered by a nine-volt battery).

I don't understand why it has to start so early! Why can't it begin after Thanksgiving? I mean, seriously...ugh.

A rock station going country is definitely the work of evil. *shudders*

I have xm, and I listen to Ethel mostly. I wish there was another Ethel-type station, though. One is not enough for me, aka constant changer. So I flip between Lucy, Fred, Ethel, Verge and U-Pop because they play Brit alternative sometimes.

Thank Merlin for my iPod! When I first got it, I kept thinking that it was like having your own radio station. *nods* I listen to my iPod in the car. I realised that another car can pick my signal too.

I adore Sirius, and I listen to lots of it, especially the mainstream hard rock stations.

I've picked up other people's FM transmissions as well. It can be annoying...and sometimes hilarious! I passed someone once who really loved yodeling.

Ah Ah. Don't let Snape hear you say that... ;)

hee!! Yes, he would be pretty upset, wouldn't he?

Then again, he doesn't play commercial-free music...ah, who am I kidding, I'd still pick Snape.
