The list is long, so I won't trouble you with it; suffice it to say that it just keeps getting longer, and I only have five days left before I leave for my annual month-long WI/AZ trip.

The big news (well, for me) is that I had a haircut yesterday. (The valis haircut history: between 1993 and 2005 I only had one haircut, which was a trim.) Anyway, I've been getting five and six inches cut off at the last two haircuts, and this time I had five more.

Why? Because I am sick to death of having my hair caught in the armpit of my coat; in my bra strap; in the waistband of my pants; in the seat belt (that's the worst); underneath the pillow...etc. The last moment of frustration was two days ago, when I was in a car with a friend. When he parked, he pulled up on the emergency parking brake, and caught a huge chunk of my hair in it. It didn't hurt a bit, but I'm just so sick of it! Plus, I have incredibly fine hair, and it tangles horribly, and it doesn't even look that attractive long.

So now it's mid-shoulder blade, maybe even a little longer than that, but still, it's so nice. And it's curly again. I just hope like crazy that it doesn't relax the way the last one did; I was really unhappy about that. I want it to be super curly! hee.

I'm hoping to make some sort of tLS update within the next few days, and finally "announce" the comm (boy, do I sound conceited) and update the mailing list with all of the changes. Plus, one of the biggies on my list is to finish the chapter that has sat, mewling, on my hard drive all this time.

I really want the tLS chapter index to be the first entry on the comm. But because you can't backdate comm entries, I'm a little confused as to what to do. I think I'm going to take the first chapter and the second chapter and combine them, and use the first chapter's space to do the index, though this is vexing me, as it means I won't be able to use Semagic to do it, and that makes me nervous.

I just wish I could stick an extra week in here somehow. But I gave that up because the WI friends asked me to come out early to help; I don't regret it because I need the money for a new car, but I'm getting a bit frantic. Watch for completely stressed entries in the week to come. ha!

*hugs* I hope that the stress this week is, at least, not too bad.

I bet your hair looks amazing! Maybe if it starts to straighten you can try a curl-enhancing product? There is no chance my hair will ever be curly, so I'm not sure what to recommend, but I know there are lots of things out there.

I'm hoping to get some happy shampoo to help keep the curl...the last perm was pretty sad! :(

I'm trying to stay sane. Thanks for the hugs!!

I don't think I've had a haircut since 2004, and it hasnt yet gone below shoulder length for all that time. I think they must shed once they get to a certain length.

My father has always said that some people can't grow their hair longer than a certain length. I know mine took FOREVER to grow this long, and I had a friend with the same length, and hers took only a third of that time. Crazy, huh?

Before this haircut, it was just about to my waist.
