I was incredibly impressed by the costumes at this con. So many people, so much creativity! It was amazing.

Most people had more than one costume. Some had special versions for the Masquerade Ball, a costume event on Sunday evening.

First up is a trio of cosplayers who dressed mostly as the Black sisters. In this pic they're dressed as Beauxbatons students and Krum:



Yes, that's Hedwig in her squid costume.

Here they are as the Black sisters as little girls:

I can't convey how beautiful this set of outfits is. They were surrounded by people with cameras clamoring for their pic, and for good reason! Unfortunately, mine is blurry and pretty much sucks. Still, you can see the amazing work that went into their costumes.

For the Masq, they dressed up as each other, because who else could be "fabulous" enough...as Narcissa put it.

You are fucking kidding me. I am so exhausted right now, I feel like I'm going to fall over, and I started to fall asleep about ten times on the train up to where I parked my car.

This evening I was thinking about the people who did presentations and roundtables and the booths on A&A night, and I thought, "God, they have a lot of energy." So thanks for thinking so, but I'm going to collapse now. :-)

I know dementordelta and lupintonks85 and I have talked about this before, but we really want to have a slashers' weekend sometime, so let me know when you'll be in the general area and maybe we can plan one around that. I mean, if have to be travelling anyway, why not work some fun into it?

This was my first con so I did not know the backstory to Lucius and Narcissa until more seasoned folks filledme in :-) HYSTERICAL that they went "as" each other...Cissa made a pretty Lucius!

Honestly, though, I have a feeling that Prophecy will have more attendees, and of the two, if you have to go to one, I think that one will have more to offer, just because of size. That's just my opinion, though.
