Ah, a mushy entry.
Dec. 7th, 2004 11:20 pm![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
I haven't been on LJ long, but so far I've made lots of interesting friends. I thought I'd say something positive about everyone on my flist as a sort of "I'm so happy to have you as a friend" kind of post.
59 Friends, 59 Positive Things
Disclaimer: These are the first things that came into my head. I really hope no one will be offended. If you check out their LJs, be certain to remember that there is adult content on some of them.
RL friends...
arachniaarkhe,
barda,
blumsmile,
bob_the_mighty,
bookwench2096,
bradd,
clstal,
gypsyjolie...I just can't talk about anything except how wonderful you all are...I don't want to reveal anything that you don't want revealed. I love you all and hope you understand. It's late and I need to go to bed, and just know that you mean so much to me!
I hope that I haven't offended anyone, really...I'm so tired...I just wanted you all to know that I'm thankful to have you as friends, and thank you for listening to my continual craziness. I really just wanted to tell you all that I appreciate you.
This wasn't proof-read...I apologize in advance for errors, and please know that this is just off the top of my head, so there isn't any really deep meaning to most of it, and I was a little afraid to say things that might have been flocked. G'night, flist.

- First the online friends.
-
absurdwords: Relatively new on the list...I don't remember what exactly caused me to friend her, but she has read Margaret Atwood, likes Tori, and is witty, which are wonderful things.
-
adamasoda: New on the list. Great artist.
-
aerynstales: Spunky, always up for a chat (thank you for listening to my crazy review babblings!), and determined to engage in all of her creative gifts...all at the same time.
-
agatha_s: I always enjoy her updates...she always has something interesting to say. Smart. She also is the force behind
babb_chronicles.
-
annecatherine: Another new friend...she creates lovely lists about the HP fandom that are interesting and useful. Smart.
-
aramintasnape: Love her fics, and usually see more of her on one of the mailing lists I subscribe to. Sweet. Nice. Happy she's here on planet Earth.
-
arionrhod: Another new friend...love her writing tremendously. She is all about Teh Remus Lurve and that is a good thing, I promise you.
-
b2wm: A LotR fan, and a good writer. Found her through
deleterius and am happy I did.
-
blackletter: Another new friend...interesting, and with plenty of references to intriguing moments in history, someone to watch.
-
c0nsumer: Nice guy, one degree from being RL friend (certain we'll break the wall eventually). He likes to photograph food. A lot. Oh, and be careful what you click on in his LJ. Interesting person.
-
ciara_belle: Was on Jeopardy, is studying my favorite language beside English (Italian), and has...interesting...roommates. Fun.
-
cruisedirector: Writes wonderful fics, and I love her tradition of including poems and pics from the zoo in nearly every entry. Yes, she couples amazing poetry with innocent images of the zoo, and this always gets me. Plus I like that occasionally she writes about her opinions of movies, which I can never get enough of on anyone's LJ.
-
dark_kiss_angel: Is a renfest geek of joy, and is passionate about music, which is a good thing, absolutely. Long time friend, and quite nice.
-
deepforestowl: What can I say about her? Only that hers was the very first LJ that I looked at, and I feel warmly about her. She's stubborn and caring, funny and earthy, and she lived in Japan for a time, and I like her a lot. She's sympathetic...and she likes CSI.
-
djinniyah: She has to be my favorite fan-artist right now. I just found her artwork, and it appeals to me like no other. Her art is dangerous, strong, full of suffering and power. She loves Tori and poetry, and I am always astonished by what she's created next. Plus she's very, very cool.
-
gina_r_snape: Sweet, nice, and caring, she is a wonderful presence on the Potions Master's Muse, the list I subscribe to. She is meme-errific, quiz-tastic, and I like her.
-
iibnf: She's one of those cornerstones in a fandom, and she reminds me of
mctabby in that many people friend her and communicate there, even though it's not a community. Or rather, it is a community, one she's somehow created, and it fascinates me. She has 500+ friends, reads her entire friends list, has posted 14,000+ comments, and is quite droll. Her fic is always mind-bending. She does not know the meaning of TMI and she interests me a lot.
-
junediamanti: For some reason there are a few people that I feel some sort of connection to, and june is one of them. I love reading her entries, and I admire her amazing moxie and her verbosity. She's strong, she's funny, she's biting, and she doesn't pull punches. She's to the point, and she has a lot of logic, which can be a scarce commodity sometimes. She has a way of writing an entry that makes you think you completely understand exactly how she's feeling at that moment, and that is really, really, really a big talent. I've read a few of her short fics, and she's a great writer, ferocious.
-
karasu_hime: Artist of ethereally colored, sharp lined drawings. She is interested in the Lestranges...and I have to admit, so am I. Very talented.
-
logospilgrim: A spiritual force on LJ, she is another longtime LJ friend. No matter what her entry is about, her light shines through. I am not a spiritual person, but I admire those that can be so and do it with grace. Grace, actually, is the perfect word to describe her.
-
lunulet: Another new friend...an artist, I like her work. Is cute, and has a lovely Pigwidgeon made from wire on her desk now.
-
lush_rimbaud: A great writer in the making. Somehow makes oddly disturbing events hilarious. Dry wit, has poetry skills.
-
luvboromir24601: I friended her from
deleterius. She's a LotR fan who owns a horse and is down-to-Earth and passionate about LotR (and Boromir, though that probably doesn't surprise anyone, considering her handle). I like her a lot, she seems neat.
-
malfoy_dragon: Another new friend. Energetic, passionate, and has a mean Avada Kedavra.
-
mariannelee: Reserved, always ready with some useful piece of writing advice, supportive, and very nice. Writes and finds time to help others, which is wonderful.
-
mimbulus: Another new friend...love love love the Spaceballs mood theme, love the Spaceballs icons. Is chef-oriented. Also a writer.
-
mortifyd: I found him through wank, actually, and thought he was completely hilarious and followed him back to his LJ. He's witty, interesting, and has a lovely heart that you shouldn't poke with a pointy stick. Really. Has a passion for Alan Rickman which rivals the sun. Is a good writer.
-
ms_hecubus: Oh, the random penguin bombardment that is this lovely girl...she loves Pee-Wee Herman, and non sequiturs, and I love her entries. She's off-the-cuff, off-the-wall, and off-her-rocker. And she has random kids in her backyard occasionally. I really like her.
-
musigneus: Another new friend, friended because of a particularly awesome SS/RL fic. Interesting and reserved.
-
mysduende: Quixotic, with a strong personality, and a kickass website about the lovely Snape, I think she's quite cool and she friended me long ago (in LJ time, that is). Love her in-depth reviews of Snapefics on her website (Dark Potions).
-
pandora_nervosa: Another new friend...endearing, a definite writer, calls her child Coconut which has to be the most adorable thing in the world, and makes even daily woes interesting.
-
pen_and_umbra: Very new friend, and extremely impressive...quite literate, writes very, very well, and has Teh Wit.
-
privatemaladict: Another Australian...who always sympathizes with writing woes, and is writing a long WIP. Neil Gaiman fan, which just shows her superior taste.
-
scarah2: Another new friend...interesting...she has a drawing of herself wielding two swords and attacking the "Do Not Disturb" door on JKR's website, which is quite amusing. Theories...love reading her theories.
-
shagsthedustmop: Another LJer that I feel a connection with. Has fun fics, and I admire her calm and smarts. Has similar taste in video games, and is levelheaded.
-
shezan: Another LJ friend that I feel a connection with. Is interested in early color photos, and writes reviews of movies, which (have I mentioned) I love to read from nearly anyone.
-
slow_mo_panda: Makes good Snapevids, and loves red pandas.
-
slytherin_dream: Is very, very funny, but has not updated in some time, to her flist's---and my---considerable chagrin.
-
snapekisser: Is quite into RP. Likes Snape and Han Solo, which cannot be a bad thing in my book.
-
snapesforte: Has the other kickass Snape website, Designer Potions, and is quite the lovely thing, with an amazing and impressive talent for designing in the Slytherin style. I agree with her entirely about Snape tangoing. She's awesome...she even posted pictures of a Sydney cemetery just for my gratification.
-
snowballjane: Interesting, funny, a journalist who always has insightful things to say. A recent entry said : I'm so bored. I want an adventure. With camels. Now. Which cracked me up entirely. Likes to fence and likes Neil Gaiman. Fun, and also a good writer...love her Snape fic Games of Skill and Chance.
-
superbunny3000: Very new LJ friend. I absolutely adore her icon...she is wearing a pair of super crazy antennae...and she's got a long, loopy writing style for her entries that makes me feel like I've entered into a cute little otherworld.
-
tamony: A longtime LJ friend, she's written interesting drabbles, and is quite involved in the wrestling world. I like her spunk, and she talks about the writing process...even if it's about characters I don't know, it's still interesting. And she apparently owns a vibrating hedgehog.
-
tapedeck: Another new LJ friend. Artist with talent, definitely. Love the name "Doctor Who and the Curse of Fatal Death" as well. I recently felt great sorrow that a 9 ft long Tom Baker scarf that she was knitting was unravelled. Like her observations on PoA.
-
todayiamadaisy: Very new LJ friend. Like her entry- writing style. Has bad luck in queues. Also an Australian, and I am liking her much so far.
-
tviokh: Claws out and ready to roll. All the time. She's strong, opinionated, fierce in her disgust over idiocy, and she is the owner of
deleterius. Owns more animals than you can shake a stick at. And you'd better not shake a stick at, either. Love her pics of Tilly and she has adorable cockatiels. I'm always fascinated with her "Come and get me, I'm right here" attitude.
-
violet_quill: Sweet, reserved, nice...she's the bees' knees, who just happens to write blistering fics. I love her drabbles. Her LJ is quite a nice place, and you'll always be entertained by her great writing. She knows better than anyone how to pull the rug out from under you at the last minute in a drabble.
-
virtual_gravy: New LJ friend...is an amazing photographer, and I love his pics of Australia. Wish I had a tenth of his talent.
-
weasleyfan: Another Snape-worshipper. Yay! Also writes a lot about writing, which I love to read.
-
webbapettigrew: A writer, who is trying to step across the chasm between fanfiction and published fiction. I'm always interested in the process of attempting to gain a publisher.
RL friends...

Date: 2004-12-08 04:34 am (UTC)Man, I really need to start writing drabbles again. Maybe I'll do the 69 Love Drabbles thing just to make up for all the queeritch I've missed in the past couple of months. :)

Date: 2004-12-08 11:43 am (UTC)What can I think of to say that would apply to your online persona? Hmmm...
You seem so mod and hip, and you have such warmth and sensitivity. You are honest and refreshing. And you have such a zest for living!

Date: 2004-12-08 05:40 am (UTC)We'll have to figure out some way to game together sometime :) Although I have to admit of being scared of MMORPGs, which would probably be the most logical type of game for us to play together. *sigh*
