I might have to turn IP logging on. Have received two very strange (and similar, they must come from the same source) anon comments on my Phoenix Rising entries.
IP stands for Internet Protocol, I think. An IP address is a string of numbers that leads to a computer, generally. It pinpoints which server/host/provider a person is using to make a comment.
It doesn't mean you can't post anonymously; it means that any anonymous comments will have an IP address tagged to them (for my eyes only), and I'd be able to track them down (theoretically) if there is a problem.
I am not the best with computers, but that is my understanding.
