I had an appointment this morning, did incredibly well. Shame it's my last appointment for months.

Also, stopped and visited my grandma again. Felt very guilty about wandering around a mall for an hour beforehand--I have so much to do at home, but I just wanted to check it out. My boss at work kept telling me that Victoria's Secret has all these fabulous bras. Sure enough, the VS sizing ends at 40DD, exactly as I imagined, so not much help there. Went to three shoe stores and gave up as each one only carries to 11M.

Picked up more awesome Polish food for dinner.

But then, when I got home, I spent the rest of the day reading Ghost Hunters forums and looking at ghost footage on YouTube (some hilarious, some awful, some a wee bit spooky). I feel even guiltier now, because I was certainly less than productive, and I have lots of things hanging over my head.

But still, I think that I needed a bit of time to waste, I guess. Shame that I always regret it later. That's something that has really changed about me over the years. It used to be that I would work, then come home and play video games and whatever. There was a real distinction between work and home. Now, it's all work. I can't feel good about sitting around at the computer and watching people running around a field with a sheet over their heads, when just by turning my head I can see three projects that need doing.

Heh. Well, for tonight, I'm for bed. I'm absolutely drained from this week for some reason.

We got food from Pyza on Halloween and brought it to my mom's, we ate it with her before handing out candy. We LOVED it yet again, she didn't hate it but made a comment that my dad said, "You have to watch that Polish food, sometimes they don't cook it all the way."

:-|

I think that approximates the look on my face that night when she said that. Also, much blinking.

My dad has become quite the germophobe over the past few years. And apparently my mom can't draw her own conclusions about it. I think my dad may have gotten undercooked (or PERCEIVED as such) food once at a Polish restaurant, and now apparently it's developed into a xenophobic reaction. UGH.

Anyway, more for us!

And I hear you on the working at home thing. When I'm not doing something workish at home I feel guilty, even when my body is ready to drop because I'm worn the hell out. Does this just develop with age?

OMG, my dad and yours could definitely get together and have Weird Issue night. ha!!

I'm so glad that you liked it so much! That rocks. Last night's meal wasn't quite as yummy as the one we shared with you, overall. However, the stuffed cabbages were the best I've ever had, so that made up for it.

I don't know why but the pierogi were just not up to snuff. I was kind of disappointed!

We do need to waste time, I think. I used to feel guilty about procrastinating, but I see now that a little bit is a good thing. Sometimes you just need to turn your brain to auto-pilot and let it go where it wants. :-)

Yeah, sometimes you need time to relax, and unfocus. It's just hard to feel good about it when there's so much that needs to be done! ;)

Oh I have a really hard time about doing nothing. I know I need to, but I can't even nap when I am tired. There is always something somewhere that needs to be done. I have to remove myself from the house/studio (cuz its all one thing) in order to stop thinking about it. Even then I usually end up doing something crafty/business related. sigh.

Chuck seems to be able to do it no problem though, lol! He will play his musical instruments forever and I am downstairs with a broom to the ceiling yelling "get to work already!". Well, not really, only in the little cartoon in my mind...

bwahahaha!! That's hilarious--I now have that image of you with the broom.

Even when I'm watching TV or a movie, I can't not do something else. I have to sort things or price things. It's really crazy. ;)

Yeah I have a hard time watching anime or things that you have to reall WATCH, because I always work and just listen. You would think I would get into books on tape like Chuck, but I cannot it seems... He has all the HP on tape and I know I should...

I couldn't agree with you more--I really don't like books on tape. When my VCR still worked, I'd watch (well, listen to) Flash Gordon and the Three Musketeers and things like that, and just look up for the good bits.

I hate VS. When I go to the store, even if they have something in my size, 40DD, they don't have it stocked and when I was smaller the stuff wasn't even supportive.

I'm being a slug today.

I hear your lament about there being no line difference between work and home. It's all one big mess at my place as well. I have the living room floor covered with flipchart papers and different stacks for several seminars. Even when I try to relax on the sofa I'm surrounded by work. I really wish that I could move to a flat with enough room to separate both worlds just a bit. I know that the work itself will never be completely done, my to-do-list is longer than my life - but simply getting it out to sight would help with my bad conscience.

*hugs*

Right now my work stuff is everywhere. Thank goodness I have a couple months to clean up!

I made a promise to myself to contain work stuff into one room, but right now it's spilled out everywhere, and it's making me crazy!

I hate it when I'm sitting on the sofa--and I can see it all. Just makes me crazy. One of the things I really wanted to do was clean my closet so I can fit more of my business stuff in, but that hasn't happened yet.

Ross sometimes has size 12 and 13 shoes.

Important to wander around sometimes, yes. ;p

Oh, I guess they don't have them near you.
Perhaps TJ Maxx then? Same type of store.
I love finding random treasures at both of 'em, as well as Burlington coat factory. :P
(& apparently Marshalls is another discount store, but I've never been in one, just seen the tv ads) :P
