WOES
I pulled it out to take a pic of something for eBay, and to my surprise, had nothing but a black screen. A black screen with icons, but a black screen, nonetheless.
It turns out to be a common problem among Cybershot DSC-F717s, and I've filled out the information for Sony, and they have a recall program where you can send it in and they'll fix it.
I am so bummed. It's been my constant companion for years now, and I can't believe it's out of commission. I'm also worried about how long this will take and if I'll ever get it back.
Also, I must physically restrain myself from buying a Nikon D40.
