Jul. 19th, 2004 11:24 pmHello, all.
Back home now. Caught up on my LJ friends.
Wrote and posted a new LS chapter.
Things are as they should be.
Well, except for the fact that I've gotten absolutely nothing else done, of course. *sigh*
Found a lovely quote, though...
On the whole I just follow the story along, often running along behind it making phone calls to people asking frantically how much flamingoes weigh and whether they can injure you if they peck you or not. I discovered in the first paragraph of American Gods that Shadow did coin tricks, and spent the next two years running along behind, learning how. Neil Gaiman
Fab.
Bought four CDs on my trip...two Breaking Benjamin, Lostprophets, and Muse, as well as a Kate Bush single. I really expected to love Breaking Benjamin, after hearing "So Cold" and totally loving it. Unfortunately, I wasn't into much of the rest of the more recent CD. (Haven't listened to the older one yet.) Also not into the Lostprophets CD.
Surprise, surprise, though, I am going nuts over the Muse CD "Absolution", which I didn't even expect to really like. I think it's pretty damn fabulous...kind of a mix of Radiohead and Coheed & Cambria...and...it seems to be...a CONCEPT ALBUM. Yes, a concept album. I didn't even think people did those anymore. Super fab, though.
'Til tomorrow.
