*gnashing of teeth*
Dec. 17th, 2007 11:31 amHave just received a curt note from a person who is very peeved because the eBay item I sent her is supposedly not in the package. She claims there was nothing but packing paper in the box.
I remember the box very well. The item is small, clear, and taped in between two plastic bladders. The box it came in is small, and the bottom contained brown packing paper, and then I put the plastic bladders in on top of the packing paper, and then I stick an invoice in the top.
Look, I've accidentally omitted an item here or there over the last couple years. But when the person only buys one? That's why I pack all my boxes one at a time; highly inefficient, but it certainly makes this situation hard to believe.
I really hope she hasn't thrown away the packing material yet. I have a feeling that the item is still sitting in its plastic prison, and she never bothered to check it. You know, at one point, I really thought of writing on the material "item inside this," but then I thought, it's obvious. It's sitting in the top of the box, and the only other thing is paper, and it's taped all the way around--why the hell would you tape something like that together, excepting to surround an item with air-filled goodness? I thought that no one would claim that I hadn't sent the item. *sigh*
EBay, you never cease to amaze me.
