I started up AuctionCheckout today.

You see, in order to accept credit cards from eBay transactions easily and smoothly, I must have a credit card processor, an online credit card processor, and a facilitator. All three of these services have separate monthly costs, and are entirely different cans of worms.

So AuctionCheckout is my brand-new facilitator. Theoretically, it takes the payment from the eBay customer, and makes the online credit card processor shake hands with them and eBay and then it does a little dance and lets eBay know when payment has been received.

I am not pleased with this service, and I only just activated it today.

First of all, I set the "email" option for customers to yes.

Then I deliberately did not click on the "update live listings" button. Because I didn't want to screw up the live listings.

Well, I had one customer buy 25 items, and guess what? It sent her 25 dorktastic emails. One. For. Each. Item. With no shipping charges. And screwed up shipping insurance charges.

Crap. The shipping calculator for eBay does not seem to be updating the AuctionCheckout stuff. I am now wondering if I have to send out custom invoices to all customers who request them. THERE HAS TO BE AN EASIER WAY. I do not want to bombard customers with crazy invoices for each item--crazy invoices that DO NOT INCLUDE SHIPPING!!!wtf--yet, I don't want to be a slave to this system, and I don't want to have to put in elaborate verbiage for each auction so people know what to do.

This is making me insane. Worse yet, the help on the AuctionCheckout site is really sparse, which I've heard about in the different eBay forums.

I have listings for tomorrow. I can only hope I don't put my head through the wall before then.
