Yes, we finally tied the knot after eight years.

The wedding was wonderful--I can't believe that the clouds went away. We had the most beautiful summer day for the event. Considering that the weather report called for severe thunderstorms, this is something to crow about.

He's so wonderful, and now we're married. I can hardly believe it!

I am so tired I can barely keep my eyes open.

(I usually don't mention him in my lj because he is a very private person. But I wanted to make this one exception...)

I'm thrilled for you both. I wish I'd been able to make it, and meet your lucky huzzband, but eh, maybe it'll happen someday, in a more laid-back setting. I'm so glad the weather cooperated--I had my fingers crossed for you after looking at the weather report last night.

I think this calls for Champagne. And..why look! There's a bottle right here...

When they first put the makeup on (especially the super-dark lipstick) I thought, wow, I look like a female impersonator, lol, but then I remembered how dark the dress was, and then with the comb and the glasses and everything--it actually looked okay! In fact, I really thought it looked very retro.

Yes, we will definitely have to do something. We were actually considering coming to Seattle for our honeymoon, until we worked out the Cape Cod thing. Still, in the future, I'd love for him to see WA--there are some gorgeous coastal things going on there, and he's a big sucker for the ocean.

When I got up at 6 am it was raining. When I had my hair appointment and got back in the car, it was raining. When I got to the site, everything was wet. And the weather called for a 5 pm thunderstorm. I was certain we were out of luck, but I was hoping that it would hold off until we were finished dancing--and then, miracle of miracles, the sun came out and it was the most beautiful day!
